Season Concludes with NJ & FL Races
The 2020 Road To Indy racing schedule took a few twists and turns as the teams/drivers adapted to COVID-19 restrictions and uncertainties. But the last two events went off without a hitch and Yuven Sundaramoorthy ended the season with lots of learnings and solid results.
The USF2000 series took Sundaramoorthy and his competitors to New Jersey Motorsport Park for the first time in many years. The tripleheader weekend was strong for the Pabst Racing team, with Sundaramoorthy gathering two more Top Ten finishes, and a career best FIFTH place finish in the second race of the weekend.
The Grand Prix of St. Petersburg (FL) was originally the first race of the season back in March. After being cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns, the event was rescheduled for October and became the season finale. Sundaramoorthy had an on-track incident in the first race of the doubleheader weekend, and car damage did not allow for participation in race two.
Sundaramoorthy finished 12th (out of 26) in the 2020 Championship standings and compiled 10 Top Ten finishes. He’ll now dive into his freshman year at the University of Wisconsin and patiently await the 2021 season.
