Yuven Sundaramoorthy is a 21-year-old professional racing driver currently competing for Abel Motorsports in the INDY NXT by Firestone (formally known as Indy Lights). Yuven was born in 2003 in Wisconsin, but at the age of four, his family moved to China where they spent six years before moving back stateside to upstate New York. In late 2020, his family made the move back to Wisconsin where Yuven took his racing career to the next level. In addition to racing, he participates in Formula SAE robotics competitions and is an avid snowboarder and hockey goalie. In 2023, he graduated with a degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin.

From 2017-2018, he competed in the F1600 Championship series, securing five wins, three poles, and 20 podiums. Prior to racing formula cars, Yuven was karting competitively for three years and is now considered one of the best up-and-comers in the American junior formula open-wheel ladder system.

During the 2019-2020 off-season, Yuven participated in India’s MRF Challenge Series, bringing home two wins and four podiums in the F2000 class.

Yuven kicked off the 2021 USF2000 season with a pole and a win at Barber Motorsports Park, followed by a pair of victories at the Indy Grand Prix at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. His win at Barber Motorsports Park made him the first Indian American to win in an NTT INDYCAR SERIES sanctioned event. Yuven closed out the season third in the championship, raking in four wins, four poles, and nine podiums.

In 2022, Sundaramoorthy made his jump up to the USF Pro 2000 Championship, recording three podiums and ten top-10 finishes. In 2023, he continued competing in USF Pro 2000 for his sophomore year, running in seven events before making the decision to finish the season by moving up to INDY NXT by Firestone in preparation for a full 2024 INDY NXT season.

Yuven is currently represented by Pieter Rossi, CEO and Co-Founder of One Motorsports Marketing and Management, LLC (1MMM). 1MMM is successful motorsport management and advisory firm that manages and promotes several talented race car drivers, including rookie American INDYCAR driver Sting Ray Robb, the 2020 Indy Pro 2000 Champion.
